Vixen Meetings

Our intimate monthly meetings are the foundation of the Vixens. We host these catch-ups every four weeks (nationally via Zoom and also in-real-life for Sydney Vixens) to come together and discuss all things producing. The meetings follow a set structure and encourage active participation and sharing. Members nominate a particular topic as our moderated discussion and we often have an established practitioner join us to discuss their area of expertise.

Industry

The Vixens are active participants of various well known industry events throughout the calendar year and often partner with sister organisations. These include Women in Film Drinks at Sydney Film Festival (in partnership with Film Fatales and WIFT), attendance at SPA's Screen Forever and annual Christmas Drinks (partnering with WIFT NSW)

In 2016 the Screen Vixens and Film Fatales (Australia Chapter) with support from Screen Australia, joined forces to create a series of free up-skilling workshops for women in the screen industry to strengthen networks and expand skills in Sydney. At a time when industry gender disparity was finally getting its turn in the spotlight, this Series was an engaging and accessible way to encourage and promote knowledge-sharing and collaboration to help level the playing field.
